Privacy Policy — Phoenix Quant Group (PQG)
1. Data controller
Phoenix Quant Group (PQG) is an educational platform focused on trading analysis, behavioral development, and structure. PQG is the data controller responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy policy, within the meaning of Article 4(7) of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
For any questions or requests regarding the processing of your personal data, you may contact us at: phoenixquantgroup@gmail.com
2. What personal data do we process?
PQG may process the following personal data: name, email address, account data, payment data, communication data, technical data (such as IP address and device data), and usage data.
3. Purposes of processing
Personal data is processed for: creating and managing accounts, providing services, invoicing and payments, customer communication, platform improvement, and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Legal basis
The processing of personal data takes place on the basis of performance of the agreement, legal obligations, legitimate interest, and, where required, explicit consent.
5. Retention periods
Personal data is not retained longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as long as legally required. Specifically:
- Account data: retained for the duration of the account and deleted promptly upon account deletion, unless retention is required by law.
- Payment and billing data: payment records are managed by our payment processor (Stripe) and retained in accordance with Belgian accounting and tax legislation (up to 7 years). Local transaction references are retained for up to 12 months.
- Audit and security logs: retained for up to 12 months for security and fraud prevention purposes.
- Communication data: retained for the duration of the account. Users may delete their own messages at any time. Deleted content is permanently purged within 90 days.
6. Sharing with third parties
PQG only shares personal data with third parties if this is necessary for the performance of services or to comply with legal obligations. Appropriate data processing agreements (DPAs) are in place with all processors. Current third-party processors include:
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing and subscription management. Stripe processes payment data under its own privacy policy and acts as an independent controller for payment fraud prevention.
- Cloudflare, Inc. — security (CAPTCHA verification via Turnstile) and content delivery. Cloudflare processes limited technical data (IP address, browser fingerprint) strictly for bot protection.
- Hetzner Online GmbH — server hosting and data storage. All data is hosted within the European Union (Germany).
PQG does not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
7. Security
PQG takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access.
8. Rights of data subjects
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access (Art. 15) — obtain a copy of your personal data.
- Right to rectification (Art. 16) — correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure (Art. 17) — request deletion of your data.
- Right to restriction (Art. 18) — limit processing in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability (Art. 20) — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object (Art. 21) — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
To exercise any of these rights, send an email to phoenixquantgroup@gmail.com with a clear description of your request. We will respond within 30 days, as required by law. We may request identity verification before processing your request.
9. Withdrawal of consent
If processing takes place on the basis of consent, this consent can be withdrawn at any time.
10. Cookies and local storage
PQG uses only strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage. No tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies are used.
- pqg_rt (HTTP-only cookie) — stores an encrypted refresh token for session authentication. Duration: up to 14 days. Essential for maintaining your login session.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — may set temporary cookies during CAPTCHA verification to protect against automated abuse. These are classified as strictly necessary for security.
- Local storage — used to store non-sensitive preferences such as language selection, theme choice, and session state. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to third parties.
Because PQG only uses strictly necessary cookies, no consent is required under the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) as transposed into Belgian law. You may clear cookies and local storage at any time via your browser settings.
11. Changes
PQG reserves the right to modify this privacy policy. The most current version is always available on the website.
